Welcome to the Priority One Blog, and welcome to Madrid

Welcome to the first blog entry from our travels!  Nate, Glynn, or I will try to  update our blog at least once a week from each tournament, and we hope that you'll find it an enjoyable insight into our experiences.  In all likelihood, we'll write more about what we encounter on a day to day basis, and not neccesarily the technical side of our work.  We've just got this website up and running, and it will be going through some growing pains during the next few months, so bear with us.

Glynn and I arrived here in Madrid on Thursday, and Nate followed up one day later.  We're staying at the official player hotel, and it is interesting to say the least.  The hotel has about 11 floors of rooms, and each floor has been designed by a different artist/architect.  The artists designed rooms that are thought provoking, but not always the most user friendly.  Nate is staying on the 2nd floor, and his room is gleaming white with the shower set in the middle of the room itself.  Glynn and I are on the 10th floor, and our room is almost all black...  right down to the black toliet paper in the bathroom.  Speaking of the bathroom, its complete with a wooden tub, and a shower that tends to get the rest of the bathroom more wet than the person in it.  I can live with it for one week, but think I'd probably go crazy if I were to stay here any longer.

So far, our work has been getting racquets ready for the clients' practices.  The main draw starts on Sunday, so we haven't been too busy yet.   That is a good thing because I'm not fully over my jet lag yet.  I'm usually good about getting over jet lag, but I think that my all black room is keeping me tired all the time.  Everytime I get into the room, all I want to do is lay down and fall asleep!  A tough aspect of traveling this time of year is missing out on the baseball playoffs and the football back home.  For you non-Americans out there, I'm talking about American football.  This year is especially tough to miss because our Tampa Bay Rays have made the baseball playoffs for the first time in their short history.  They lost the first game of a best of seven game series last night, but we're looking for them to bounce back tonight.  All three of us support the Rays, but when it comes to NFL football, we have very different opinions.  Glynn is a fan of the New York Giants, but we don't really think much of his opinion since he's from England!  Nate has historically been a Washington Redskins fan, and I'm a diehard Miami Dolphins fan.  Needless to say, its been a tough few years for me watching my beloved Fins.

Well, I'm going to finish this entry now, but will definitely give you all an update later this week after the tournament has started.  Again, I hope that you come to enjoy our blog, and visit it often.
