Heading Home

I've just finished packing my gear up to head home from Shanghai.  Its the end of my business travels for the year, and it will be nice to be home for the next 7 weeks or so.  As much as I love traveling, by this time of year, I'm pretty tired of living out of hotel rooms.  Working at home is always great because it is so different from working on the road.  In the office, I do almost zero stringing, while on the road most of the work involves stringing.  Nearly all of the work in the office is customizing, and that for me is the really interesting part of what we do.  Most people think that the travel part of my job is the best part, and sure, its amazing to go around the world to all the different cities.  However from a work standpoint, customizing is where the real action happens.  The things we do in the office are what really set us apart from other racquet customizing companies.  Its challenging to solve issues that players have with their equipment, and I'm proud of what we can figure out and achieve in the office.  I must admit, that Nate is an absolute genius when it comes to customizing.  I've seen him come up with solutions to problems that I was just about ready to give up on.

I think its going to be a lot of fun in the office over the next 7 weeks.  The three of us will be hard at work getting a lot of racquets ready for the clients for 2009.  Yes, we'll be very busy, but we'll also have a lot of fun as well.  Its amazing to have a job that I truly enjoy doing, and sleeping in my own bed will be awesome.  I can't wait to get home, and I'll give you all an update from the office.

Don't get me wrong, in 7 weeks time, I'll be itching to get back out on the road!
